Digital Foundry Part 3: Digital Sculpting & Scanning

Part 3: Introduction to Digital Sculpting, 3D Scanning & 3D Reconstruction.

The final workshop in the Digital Foundry Series introduces participants to the basics of digital sculpting using Blender. Participants will learn the fundamentals of digital sculpting through hands-on exercises while also exploring & experimenting with 3D scanning and 3D reconstruction software. The workshop will showcase how digital tools can be used together, including how scanned objects can be integrated into a digital sculpting workflow. We will experiment with creating, modifying, and combining digital forms to develop digital art that can be 3D printed and cast. The workshop is an opportunity to learn how to experiment with digital tools and discover new possibilities that can be introduced into your foundry practice. This workshop is beginner-friendly and experimental. Come learn and play! La formation Digital Foundry 3 est soutenue par le Conseil de la formation continue arts et culture de Montréal (CFC) en collaboration avec Repaire (Regroupement de pairs des arts indépendants) .
