About

A Segal Centre production Based on the Universal Pictures film Story by Ray Bradbury Book & Music by Joe Kinosian Book & Lyrics by Kellen Blair Directed by Gordon Greenberg Music Direction by Chris Barillaro

A new musical comedy in thrilling 3D!

From the producer behind Rent, Six, and In the Heights comes a brand-new rockabilly musical comedy that’s crashing down to Earth with a bang. Inspired by the cult 1953 sci-fi classic, It Came from Outer Space makes its electrifying debut at the Segal Centre.

When scientist John Putnam arrives in a quiet desert town and claims that aliens have landed, he’s dismissed as a crackpot. But the locals soon begin to change in unsettling ways. As paranoia spreads, John must risk everything to prove the truth, win the trust of the woman he’s falling for, and save the town from the aliens, and from itself.

Blending retro sci-fi flair with self-aware humour, this bold new musical flips the alien invasion story on its head. With a high-energy score, larger-than-life characters, and a visual world inspired by vintage horror and mid-century Americana, it’s a wildly entertaining ride with a twist you won’t see coming.

Be among the first to experience the phenomenon before it abducts audiences everywhere.

LISA'S NOTE

“There is nothing more exciting than sharing a new musical with an audience. It Came from Outer Space is unexpected, funny, and full of energy. You could even say that it’s out of this world!”
