I've always been passionate about the arts! In elementary school, it was painting, modeling clay, drawing, and making friendship bracelets. In high school, it was photography, film, and journalism. After graduating, I decided to enroll in Arts and Letters, specializing in film and communication, at Cégep, but it wasn't for me. I then enrolled in Graphic Design and I loved it! I met wonderful friends, not to mention that I developed my artistic side. A friend then introduced me to making jewelry with glass beads and hemp thread. I had no idea it would lead me so far!
For a while I worked at a jeweller's repairing watches and various pieces of jewellery. I loved it and continued making my own jewellery and exploring different techniques on my own time. It was during that time that I learned of L'École de Joaillerie de Montréal. I wasted no time registering and studied there for three years. After getting my diploma I shared a workshop at Chat des Artistes with three old classmates. In December 2009 I got the opportunity to present my first collection at Le Salon de Métiers d'Art de Montréal.
Some of my pieces can be found in many Québec boutiques since March 2011. I have also taken part in various local craft shows in L'Assomption during Christmas time and in Laval for what we call La Semaine des Artisans.
In 2011, motherhood marked a new chapter in my life! I then chose to bring my workshop home to better balance my creative work and family life. Today, I continue to create jewelry with the same passion I had at the beginning, grateful to be able to make a living from my art, surrounded by the people I love.
