A calendar of all the live culture in Québec, Montréal first. And the longest list of pouding chômeur recipes in the universe.
Big shows have their ticket sites and their ads. Basement events, Tuesday open mics, openings at artist-run centres and niche parties get lost in Facebook pages and posters on poles. We want them all in one place.
The calendar fills up three ways: we read venues’ public calendars, venues and artists add their dates, and the public adds what’s missing. Moderators review everything that comes from the public.
The site is free for everyone, venues included.
Open data
Part of the calendar comes from public data under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0): the “Événements publics” of the City of Montréal and the events of Québec’s tourism information system (ministère du Tourisme), on Données Québec. The data was reshaped for the calendar (venues, dates, genres).
