I’m Sarah, and I’ve found my home in the vast forests of Canada. In the wild nature of the Laurentians, I slow down and connect with the beauty of simple things. Living in this place fills me with deep gratitude. Preserving its diversity is a central impulse for my artistic work.
My love for nature runs deep, which is why my work focuses primarily on botanical motifs. The ancient knowledge of plants, fungi, and living beings is an endless source of inspiration for me. I believe that this fascination and wonder for nature is something universal, no matter where we call home.
On walks with my dog in the forest, while working in the garden, discovering medicinal plants, or simply sitting under a tree listening to the birds, I take the time to observe. Then I transform what I see into visual art using the traditional technique of block printing.

Je suis Sarah et j’ai trouvé mon chez-moi dans les vastes forêts du Canada. Dans la nature sauvage des Laurentides, je ralentis et me reconnecte à la beauté des choses simples. Pouvoir vivre ici me remplit d’une profonde gratitude. Préserver sa diversité est la pulsion principale de mon travail artistique.
Mon amour pour la nature est profondément enraciné, c’est pourquoi mes créations se concentrent surtout sur des motifs botaniques. Les connaissances anciennes sur les plantes, les champignons et les êtres vivants sont pour moi une source inépuisable d’inspiration. Je crois que cette fascination et cet émerveillement pour la nature sont universels, peu importe où nous appelons notre chez-nous.
Lors de promenades avec mon chien dans la forêt, en travaillant au jardin, en découvrant des plantes médicinales ou simplement assise sous un arbre à écouter les oiseaux, je prends le temps d’observer. Ensuite, je transforme ce que je vois en art visuel grâce à la technique traditionnelle de la gravure en relief.
