La chanteuse canado-américaine Ashley Maher quitte Los Angeles pour des retrouvailles très spéciales sur scène avec trois musiciens avec qui elle a joué et enregistré pendant des années à Dakar.
Puisant dans les huit albums de son parcours, la soirée célèbre son lien musical profond avec l'Afrique de l'Ouest, avec un accent particulier sur les rythmes irrésistibles et l'esprit du mbalax sénégalais. Ensemble, ils reviendront sur des chansons façonnées par des années de collaboration à Dakar, tout en apportant une énergie nouvelle à la scène montréalaise.
Le premier set sera suivi d'un jam avec une sélection de musiciens de la riche communauté ouest-africaine de Montréal. C'est une occasion pour la musique de continuer à circuler, de traverser les frontières et de réunir de vieux amis et de nouveaux complices.

What to Expect
Canadian-American singer Ashley Maher travels from Los Angeles for a very special onstage réunion with three musicians she performed and recorded with for years in Dakar.
Drawing from material across Ashley’s eight-album journey, the evening celebrates her deep musical connection with West Africa, with a particular focus on the irresistible rhythms and spirit of Senegalese mbalax. Together, they’ll revisit songs shaped by years of collaboration in Dakar, while bringing a fresh energy to the stage in Montreal.
The first set will be followed by a jam session featuring a selection of Montreal’s rich community of West African musicians. An opportunity for the music to keep moving, crossing borders and bringing old friends and new collaborators together.
