About

The third Montreal Vegan Festival will be held November 5 and 6, 2016 at Marché Bonsecours. Local and international speakers, continuous cooking demonstrations, respected dealers, emerging brands, community, organizations, round tables and, of course, tastings will all be part of the festivities.

The second instalment of the Festival, held novembre 7, 2015 at Marché Bonsecours, attracted over 10,000 visitors, a lot more than we expected. We decided to organize this year's festival on two complete days and reorganized space to respond to this craze.

As part of this third edition, the festival will have the pleasure of welcoming a number of special guests, including: the man whose studies led to the creation of the glycemic index Dr. David Jenkins; Seba Johnson, the youngest ever alpine ski racer in Olympic history; Jo-Anne McArthur, photojournalist, author and educator; hockey legend and animal rights activist Georges Laraque; and Alister Gardner, mountain running champion and ultramarathon runner.

For an enticing festival taster, on Friday 4th November, Montreal Vegan Festival 2016 presents a special launch event screening of Jo-Anne McArthur stunning documentary Ghosts in Our Machine at Bonsecours Market, 7pm. Entry is free and the screening will be followed by a Q&A with Jo-Anne MacArthur.

This year, access to the site, the exhibition, the cooking demonstrations and conferences will be completely free.
