Invisible Vegan est un documentaire de Jasmine Leyva, centré autour des habitudes alimentaires dans la communauté afro-américaine et l'impact sur la santé qu'elle peuvent avoir. Pour cela à travers différents témoignages et analyses sont mis en avant l'aspect identitaire, culturel qu'elles revêtent et comment les afro-américains se sont construit autour du concept de « soul food ». En partant de son histoire et évolution personnelle, Jasmine Leyva met en avant les possibilités pour la santé et le bien-être offertes par le régime végane et les choix de mode de vie. Invisible Vegan met aussi l'accent sur la représentation de la communauté afro-américaine et des minorités au sein du mouvement végane et d'une vision qui peut parfois reprendre certaines contradictions de la société mainstream ainsi que la convergence des luttes possibles entre causes sociales et environnementales mettant en exergue les traditions culinaires africaines et la capacité de mobilisation dont fait preuve la communauté afro-américaine.

Invisible Vegan is a documentary by Jasmine Leyva, focusing on the eating habits in the African-American community and the impact they can have on health. For this reason, through various testimonies and analyses, the identity and cultural aspect that they have and how African-Americans have built themselves around the concept of "soul food" are highlighted. Based on her personal history and evolution, Jasmine Leyva highlights the possibilities for health and well-being offered by the vegan diet and lifestyle choices. Invisible Vegan also emphasizes the representation of the African-American community and minorities within the vegan movement and a vision that can sometimes take up some of the contradictions of mainstream society as well as the convergence of possible struggles between social and environmental causes highlighting African culinary traditions and the capacity for mobilization demonstrated by the African-American community.
